Mark Trayle's Phantom Rooms
Mark Trayle's Phantom Rooms is a composition that maps room acoustics with a network of laptops and other instruments. The musicians exchange these maps over the network, so that rooms appear in other rooms as acoustic phantoms, their resonant frequencies disturbing the acoustics of the rooms they haunt.
With Casey Thomas Anderson (laptop/saxophone), Matt Barbier (trombone), Stephanie Smith (laptop/violin), Ashley Walters (cello), and Mark Trayle (laptop). This is the U.S. premiere of Phantom Rooms.
Admission: $15 regular, $10 students, free for Museum members.
